Condolence From: Dr. Tom Connors
Condolence: Heartfelt condolences to Mildred and the Gerish Family. Gardner was a great man! You won't find one person who didn't know and respect Gardner back in the 70's and 80's when he ran the Somersville Citgo station. I will forever be grateful for everything Gardner did for me when I was in High School, working at the Somers Inn, and going to College. I grew up on Hall Hill Rd in Somersville and Gardner was ALWAYS there for me to bail me out of MANY Car repairs when I got myself in trouble with my Dad's Car! He once towed my Dad's Car out of an impossible ditch situation when I got it stuck up on the mountain on a fire tower road ABOVE Parker Rd. He took care of my Gran Torino throughout College, got it Mag wheels, and always accepted whatever I could pay him at the time. He was one of the main reasons I made it through College and became Dr. Tom Connors. You were the best Gardner! RIP - Love Tommy Connors, PS - my vocabulary of swear words is par none due to Gardner! RIP

Condolence: My condolences to the Gerich families. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of dear Gardner. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering.
